Making a Web Comic Pt. 5

Didn’t post last Friday because I didn’t really do much, but wow, a lot has happened this past seven days. I attended GalaxyFest in Colorado Springs Saturday. I was hoping to meet local artists, but the fest didn’t have a lot of them. It was mostly cosplayers and local toy vendors. However, I got lucky and met a local small comic publisher. I was able to talk to him for a bit and ask him a lot of questions. I also explained what my comic was about and he seemed to like it. So I’m currently working on getting pages done to show him.

I’m also going back to doing it traditionally. This will make it harder getting it online because my scanner isn’t big enough to handle the pages. So I’ll have to go to Kinkos or something to get them scanned in and uploaded. The reason for this is because I’m having a hard time creating ink effects in Photoshop. So instead of spending time figuring it out, I’ll just ink it.

I’m also going to be working on character pictures. The reason is to practice inking so when I finish penciling the pages, I can get through them smoothly. Also it’ll give me things to post while I’m working on the pages. I’m also thinking about setting up a Kickstarter or Patreon, but after I get some real work to show. But I’ll figure that out when I get there. Make sure you’re following my social media for progress work.
