Odin was the father of Thor and leader of the Aesir. He sacrificed his eye to gain all knowledge and hung himself for ten days as a sacrifice to himself so he can gain the knowledge of the rune. His two ravens, Hugnin and Munnin, or thought and memory, fly all over the seven realms and report what they see to him by whispering in his ears. The valknut, or the three interlocked triangles, is a religious symbol that has something to do with death (there are many speculations to the meaning, but this seems to be the most believed). I just finished Neil Gaiman’s book about Viking lore and this image came to me. If you’d like to see more mythological things send me a shout out and I’ll see what I can come up with.
